Communication to host computer: Ethernet.
Replacement for the AVT-843. This is a "drop-in" replacement. Board was re-designed to improve data throughput.

Hardware Configuration
Hardware configuration of the board is determined by customer requirements.
The hardware configuration is noted in the white "Rev" block on the top of the board.
Some hardware configurations are listed below. Other configurations are available, ask us.
A unique revision level and order number will be assigned for each unique hardware configuration requested.

PC Board Revision

PC Board Revision

The revision of the PC board is noted in copper on the bottom of the board.
It only changes when the board is redesigned.

PC Board Revision A1

PC board revision level "A1"
Never released (late April 2010).
Mistake on PC board.

PC Board Revision B1
PC board revision level "B1"
General release: ~ 10 May 2010

PC Board Revision D
PC board revision level "D"
General release: 18 August 2014
CAN4: Both 2-wire and Single Wire CAN (SWC) transceivers are now installed for channel CAN4. The transceiver is selected using the '7x 45' command.
Added a second LIN channel (LIN0, channel 7).
Added a heat sink to the bottom of the board for the XPort server.
Added a pull-up resistor to XPort I/O pin 2.
Removed all network shunts. All networks are now always connected to their respective pins on the DA-15P connector (P3).

PC Board Revision F
PC board revision level "F"
General release: 22 December 2014

Corrected circuitry error. Added circuitry support for replacement Single Wire CAN (SWC) transceiver.

Revision "FA" and "FB" use the AU5790D Single Wire CAN (SWC) transceiver.

PC Board Revision G
PC board revision level "G"
General release: 12 February 2019
Corrected circuitry to support using the '9241' transceiver for both LIN channels.
Previously the boards only supported the '9241A' device.
Now the board can use either device.

NOTES

2 - J1850 VPW device installation, US$ 30.00 extra charge.
3 - CAN4 defaults to SWC (add R52).
4 - CAN bus termination (120 ohm) removed from CAN channel.
5 - CAN0 (channel 0) and LIN1 (channel 5) digital output (U1 pin # 109) to P3 pin # 10 (the DA-15P connector).  The digital output is +5v CMOS and is NOT buffered.  Reference firmware version 2.6 (0A) for more information.
6 - ATD screw terminal block is installed, add wire from junction of D9 cathode and D10 anode to U1 pin #9, install R40 (475 ohm).  On-board baud rate set to 921.6 kbaud.  US$ 40.00 extra charge.  Firmware version 1.8 (15) is current as of 25 October 2016.
7 - ATD screw terminal block is installed.  US$ 30.00 extra charge.
8 - I
nstall R40 (475 ohm).  On-board baud rate set to 921.6 kbaud.  Firmware version 1.8 (15) is current as of 25 October 2016.
9 - About 14 February 2019 twenty boards were shipped marked as revision "GA".  They should have been marked "FA".
10 - Convert the '853' board from Ethernet to RS-232 serial.  Remove the Lantronix XPort device (Ethernet serial server).  Install the S3 board in that location.  Requires the installation of firmware version 6.1 (0A) for usable serial baud rate.
